  • Peggy & Matt-Teaser

Last month, Kammi and I finally got to photograph Peggy & Matt’s wedding. I have been so excited to work with them ever since I met Peggy. She is just a doll, and was such a beautiful bride. They are such an incredible couple to work with and to be able to photograph. I am continuing to edit as fast as I can, with weddings and seniors still going strong it’s hard to find the time to get behind the computer and actually edit. Here is a quick teaser from their wedding. More to come soon.

  • Day After Session-5 Years After

Recently I photographed a day after session in downtown Denver. Brian & Colleen were married 5 years ago in California. Brian’s sister set up the session for them and they got dressed back up in their wedding attire for the session. They both looked incredible and were eager to play where ever I took them. We started off at The Curtis Hotel were they were staying for the weekend. I have always wanted to photograph in their bar and the red lights, but it has always been busy whenever I had been there before. The place was empty and the manager was nice enough to let us go in there for some shots. Check that one off my list of places that I want to shoot in.  They also brought their 2 beautiful girls along for the session. As you can  We walked around Denver for awhile to get some urban shots for them. While walking around I asked them why they choose to do a session 5 years after they were married. Brian told me that they weren’t happy with their original photographer out in California. He said “You get what you pay for” and we choose a photographer that didn’t deliver great wedding photos. Just a reminder to all when choosing a photographer, look at their work, ask about their experience, ask for references. You can always do a day after session, but you can never go back and recreate your wedding. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

  • Engagement Session|Kendra & Alex

Even though we are still in full swing of wedding season, 2011 is right around the corner. Kendra & Alex are getting married next year and we met up for there engagement session. Alex is a traveling man, and squeezed in a little time for the session while he was in town. I am so excited to photograph these two. They were full of laughs for the whole session.I  had a great time getting to know them better while we were walking around a local park in Boulder. Seems like the only place so fall with some pretty fall colors. Here are some of my favorites from the session, including the dog that came bolting out of the lake for another jump into the water and our photograph.

  • A Denver Ritz Wedding|Debbie & Brandon

It’s been forever since I have seen and eaten dinner with my family. Shoots everyday, weddings, seniors, family portraits have just been keeping me super busy. Seems like I am shooting more thatn I can edit. Any chance I get, I get behind the computer to edit. This weekend isn’t going to help that part since we have two weddings and 3 portrait session. I will try to update as fast as I can. In the meantime I thought I would try and post a sneak peak from Debbie and Brandon’s incredible Ritz wedding from last month.

  • Lionscrest Manor Wedding By Elegant Images

Seeing & photographing people in love never gets tiring. There are some clients that just take your breath away with their expression of love. April and Malcolm are one of those couples. The first time I met them I was instantly drawn into their passion of their relationship. I was hoping and praying that we would get to work together. I was excited to say the least when they told me they wanted us to photograph their wedding. Their wedding day was more of the same. The energy of their love and family just radiated throughout Lionscrest Manor. They are incredible people to get to know and photograph. This job just never gets old for me.

Out of all the years photographing weddings, I actually had something that has never happened. While April and Malcolm were at our home studio for their first visit, we took them into our home theater to show them a slide show of our photography. While they were watching they instantly fell in love with a song I had playing during the slideshow. They asked who it was and used that song into their first dance song. Makes me smile. Here are some of their photos from their wedding day. A special thanks to Tyler Jones for second shooting with me that day.

  • Ashley & Gene Wedding|Lionscrest Manor

At the end of last month Kammi and I photographed Ashely & Gene’s wedding at the beautiful Lionscrest Manor. The decided to do a late ceremony right before sunset. The light was so beautiful for the photos. The golden light was just lighting up the back of the trees and made for some yummy photos. Ashley was just stunning. There is something about dark hair brides that I just love to photograph. As you can see from this post, it’s pretty much all about Ashley. Isn’t that what a wedding day is about anyway…the bride? Simply stunning.

We photograph quite a bit at Lionscrest and love every wedding we photograph up there. Besides such an incredible venue, the owners and staff just do weddings right. Plain and simple. I have never seen another venue run so well. If you are looking to get married with an incredible mountain backdrop, this should be your place. They also just released a brand new website that I love. Go check it out. In the meantime check out Ashley and Gene’s wedding photos.

  • The Ritz Carlton Denver Wedding|Sneak Peak

We captured all the yummy shots of the bride and groom for Peggy and Matt’s wedding before we arrived at the Ritz. I saw this little area at last weeks wedding at the Ritz and I wanted to photograph in there but didn’t have time. I asked Peggy if we could go in there for a shot or two for something a little more dramatic. We had about 5 minutes before they were announced. A little off camera flash for a more dramatic look and some photoshop touches and this is what I came away with. Love it, she was just stunning.

  • Heritage Eagle Bend Wedding|Sneak Peak

Kammi and I are heading out the door for a wedding at the Ritz in Denver. Just thought that I would share a photo Kammi captured from yesterdays wedding. Heather & Luke were married yesterday and had their reception at Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Course. We had the perfect light on the golf course. Right before this photo the bride came very close to getting hit by a golf ball. We were no where near the green, so needless to say… the golfer was a little off his game. I love this shot that Kammi captured. Can’t wait to edit and process their images.

  • Evergreen Lake House Wedding|Chrissy & Mike

Chrissy & Mike got married last month at the beautiful Evergreen Lake House. Such a fantastic day surrounded by family and friends. The weather could not have been more perfect for the lakeside ceremony. I am still behind on blogging but trying to catch up. So with that I am just going to share some of my favorite photos from their wedding.

  • Woller Family

I photographed the Wollers almost two years ago when little Connor was just crawling around. Now he has a brand new sister who was all smiles for the session. They actually won a session from me from a silent auction for Denver’s Safehouse. It’s always great to give back to the community and this was such a great cause. I will be donating another session to The Denver Safehouse this year which will be in October. It was so great to see them again. I couldn’t believe how big Connor was and how much he is talking. Time sure does fly. For now I will show you the star of the session. Look how adorable she is at 16 weeks.
