  • Kristin & Mark|Wedding

Slowly catching up on all our editing. Will be posting photos as fast as I can, so keep checking back for fresh new blog posts. Up now is Kristin and Mark who got married last month at Risby Church. Their son Gunner was the ring bearer and he was such a cutie. He was all about the photos while getting ready, not so much when it came time for the formals. What are you gonna do, you never know what will happen with little kids.

Check out the first photo from the window of the hotel. While we were all waiting for the elevator and we all noticed that a bird left an imprint in the window from a collision. I have never seen anything like this before. I knew birds sometime ran into windows, but this one looked like it might of hurt the little fellow. Poor little bird.

  • Chelsea & Casey|Trash the Dress

This past summer Kammi and I photographed Chelsea and Casey’s wedding at Lionscrest Manor. When she originally booked us, she told us she wanted to add the Trash the Dress session to her package. I am always game for playing, especially if the bride wants to get in the water. We decided on a park in Boulder for her session. We were all a little surprised at the water being as cold as it was. Even I came prepared with my aqua shoes and ended up in the water with them. They were the smart ones who took my advice to bring dry clothes and a towel. Wish I would have taken my own advice. Needless to say I drove home in wet clothes after the session. Here are some of my favorites from the session. Enjoy and have a great weekend.

  • Savannah & Ben|Engagement Session

So everyone knows the line from Tom Cruise in the movie Jerry Maguire “You had me at hello”. Well the first time I met this couple they told me they both work at Best Buy. Those lines popped into my head. You see, Best Buy is my Quam of stores. I love the store so much I even have their stock. Anytime I can go there I will. It drives my wife crazy that I go there all the time.  I am somewhat of a movie, techie and toys junkie. Once Apple products were sold there it “completed me”. All joking aside about Best Buy, Savannah and Ben are such an incredible couple. Had a great time trecking around Denver for their engagement session. Savannah wore heels and she was not afraid to go anywhere in them for photos. My kind of couple. I am so looking forward to their 2011 wedding. Here are some of my favorite shots from the session.

  • Peggy & Matt-Teaser

Last month, Kammi and I finally got to photograph Peggy & Matt’s wedding. I have been so excited to work with them ever since I met Peggy. She is just a doll, and was such a beautiful bride. They are such an incredible couple to work with and to be able to photograph. I am continuing to edit as fast as I can, with weddings and seniors still going strong it’s hard to find the time to get behind the computer and actually edit. Here is a quick teaser from their wedding. More to come soon.

  • Day After Session-5 Years After

Recently I photographed a day after session in downtown Denver. Brian & Colleen were married 5 years ago in California. Brian’s sister set up the session for them and they got dressed back up in their wedding attire for the session. They both looked incredible and were eager to play where ever I took them. We started off at The Curtis Hotel were they were staying for the weekend. I have always wanted to photograph in their bar and the red lights, but it has always been busy whenever I had been there before. The place was empty and the manager was nice enough to let us go in there for some shots. Check that one off my list of places that I want to shoot in.  They also brought their 2 beautiful girls along for the session. As you can  We walked around Denver for awhile to get some urban shots for them. While walking around I asked them why they choose to do a session 5 years after they were married. Brian told me that they weren’t happy with their original photographer out in California. He said “You get what you pay for” and we choose a photographer that didn’t deliver great wedding photos. Just a reminder to all when choosing a photographer, look at their work, ask about their experience, ask for references. You can always do a day after session, but you can never go back and recreate your wedding. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

  • Engagement Session|Kendra & Alex

Even though we are still in full swing of wedding season, 2011 is right around the corner. Kendra & Alex are getting married next year and we met up for there engagement session. Alex is a traveling man, and squeezed in a little time for the session while he was in town. I am so excited to photograph these two. They were full of laughs for the whole session.I  had a great time getting to know them better while we were walking around a local park in Boulder. Seems like the only place so fall with some pretty fall colors. Here are some of my favorites from the session, including the dog that came bolting out of the lake for another jump into the water and our photograph.
